I started Side Quest Events with a simple goal: to use my experience to help create memorable events for others.

With nearly 15 conventions' worth of experience in teaching and demonstrating board games as well as a decade of explaining complex ideas simply as a technical writer, I can help you learn the games at your board game events.

All of our trivia questions are written from scratch by a nerdy human. There are no AI-written questions or questions from an online trivia bank.

How do I choose board games for my event?

You can request specific games or have me curate a selection for you. There's a list of all of the games in my library. If you provide information about the number of players, types of games you like, or even a theme, I can choose some good options for you.

How do I learn the rules for my board games?

My board game events come with on-site rules instruction. I have eight years' experience in demonstrating and teaching games.

Do you offer collectible trading card games at your events?

This isn't something that I have available, but you're welcome to bring your own. This may be something that I offer in the future if there's enough demand.

Where do you get your trivia questions?

Once I decide on topics, I research each one. Sometimes I know a fact and want to verify it before writing a question, and sometimes I find something to write a question about while I'm researching.

Questions do NOT come from AI or online question banks.
